PBX Assessment - Hunt Pilot, Hunt List and Line Groups Detailed View

Each Hunt List can contain one or more Line Groups. These are displayed as collapsible panels showing configuration details and assigned extensions.

Line Groups

  • Distribution Algorithm: Indicates the method used to route calls to members within the Line Group.

    • Broadcast Rings all available phones in the line group simultaneously. The first to answer gets the call.
    • Circular Distributes calls in a rotating order, starting with the following line after the one that answered the last call.
    • Top Down Always starts ringing from the top of the line group list, going down until someone answers.
    • Longest Idle Time Routes the call to the line that has been idle the longest (i.e., not on a call or recently answered one).
  • Ring No Answer Reversion Timeout: Specifies how long each member rings in seconds before skipping to the next.

  • Log Out Agents on No Answer?: Displays whether agents are automatically logged out if they fail to answer a call.

Hunt Options

These define how calls are handled based on agent status:

Possible options:

  • Try the next member; then, try the next group
  • Try the next member; do not go to the next group
  • Skip the remaining members, go to the next group
  • Stop Hunting

Members Table

The Members Table lists all extensions assigned to the Line Group:

  • Extension: The internal number of the user or device
  • Description: Optional field to provide context or user name.
