Detailed Teams Auto Attendant view

This page allows you to create, edit, and delete a Microsoft Teams Auto Attendant. Use it to configure how incoming calls are greeted and routed across different schedules, and to manage who can reach this attendant and who can modify it.

  • General Settings Displays and allows editing of the Auto Attendant’s name, time zone, language, operator, and assigned resource accounts.
  • Call Flows Defines how calls are handled at different times of day. Each call flow includes a schedule, a greeting (no greeting, audio file, or text-to-speech), and a destination — either disconnect, redirect to a single target, or a dial-pad menu where each button routes the caller to a user, voice application, resource account, external number, voicemail, or plays an announcement. The Business Hours and After Hours call flows are always present; holiday call flows can be added as needed. After Hours is automatically active whenever Business Hours are not scheduled.
  • Dial Scope Controls which users appear as results when a caller uses Dial by Name or Dial by Extension. Inclusions and exclusions are configured using Microsoft 365 groups.
  • Authorized Users Lists the users who are permitted to modify this Auto Attendant directly from the Microsoft Teams client app. Note that authorized users require a separate Teams license to access the app.
  • Referenced By Shows other Auto Attendants and Call Queues that currently route calls to this Auto Attendant. Use this section to understand the impact of any changes you make before saving.
