Emergency Calling Policies

Emergency calling policies control how Teams handles calls to emergency numbers — including who gets notified, how they’re notified, and how the caller’s location is resolved.

  • Notification mode — whether security staff are notified, conferenced in, or silently monitoring when an emergency call is placed.
  • Notification group — the group or individual users who receive emergency call alerts.
  • External Location Lookup Mode - allows remote workers to configure and update their emergency (E911) addresses when outside the corporate network
  • Emergency service disclaimer - allows administrators to customize a notification banner to be displayed in the Teams application
