How do I generate a Cisco Unity Connection export file?

You will need the credentials of a Cisco Unity Connection Administrator and PowerShell version 7.0 or later to use this guide

Although our scripts has been vetted by PowerShell experts and signed by Microsoft, your corporate IT policies may prevent you from executing third-party PowerShell scripts on your workstation. If this is the case, reach out to your IT team before proceeding with this guide.

Procedure:

  1. Connect to a workstation with access to Cisco Unity Connection and download ziro-export-unity.ps1.
  2. Launch PowerShell and run the script you’ve downloaded at the previous step.
  3. Enter the address of your Cisco Unity Connection server, your Administrator username and password.
  4. Once executed, the script will create a ZIP file with the date and name of the Cisco Unity Server.

Add this “zip” file to your CUCM export in PBX Assessment to receive your customized report.
